Gastroenterologist
Dr. Kim received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, followed by his medical degree from University of Washington. He completed his Internal Medicine residency and gastroenterology fellowship at University of Washington Medical Center and affiliated hospitals, including Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. He has special interests in prevention, early detection, and management of gastric cancer, esophageal cancer, Barrett’s Esophagus, gastric intestinal metaplasia, colon cancer and polyps, liver diseases including Hepatitis B and C, and inflammatory bowel disease. He is experienced and well-skilled in EGD, colonoscopy, and endoscopic mucosal resection.

Dr. Kim is is an outstanding physician who goes above and beyond for their patients. His expertise, compassion, and professionalism made my father’s experience truly exceptional. When my father had a procedure done by him in November 2024, he contacted me right away after the conclusion and provided me with an update. He tools the time to hear the our story and what my father meant to me. Dr. Kim answered all my questions, which I had 100 and one of them. Then my father recently had another procedure done in February 2025, Dr. Kim followed up with another detailed phone call after the procedure concluded. After my father had got home, he was experiencing some odd side effects, and Dr. Kim personally called every day to ensure my father was doing better. Dr. Kim really is one of the best doctors we have came across, and we are forever grateful for his professionalism and expertise. Thank you Dr. Sang Kim!

I have seen Dr. Sang Kim quite a number of year. He is very soft spoken, very thorough, takes his time and actually reads your chart. If you have any issues he is the kind of physician you need.

The whole colonoscopy process was very smooth. Dr. Kim explained everything well prior to the procedure and after the procedure.
