About James Wang, M.D.
Dr. James Wang is a Board Certified gastroenterologist. Dr. Wang treats a wide variety of GI conditions ranging from inflammatory bowel conditions to liver disease. Dr. Quach enjoys caring for all parts of the gastroenterology system and has completed dedicated training in transplant hepatology. In addition to general gastroenterology his clinical interests include general hepatology, chronic liver disease, transplant hepatology, colon cancer screening, swallowing difficulties and Celiac Disease.
Dr. Quach chose gastroenterology because both gastroenterology and hepatology as specialties have diseases where we can help patients through both medications and endoscopic procedures. Early on in his career he found positive long term patient-physician relationships to be the most rewarding aspect of medicine. Dr. Quach knew early on that gastroenterology would afford these long term relationships through various avenues.
Dr. Quach spends time learning about patients and how their symptoms affect their quality of life. Through shared decision making he and his patients work towards making a diagnosis and develop a treatment plan together with the goal of improving patient ailments.
Dr. Quach attended the University of Colorado for his medical degree and completed his Medical Residency at the University of Colorado Hospital. After that, he completed his Medical Fellowship at University of Nebraska Medical Center.
Outside of clinical medicine Dr. Quach enjoys spending time outside hiking, backpacking, traveling and trying new foods.
